Mendesian Soap Guest Bar

Combining the topical anti-inflammatory, astringent, antiseptic, and disinfectant properties of frankincense with a high quality olive oil based soap.

Combining the distinctive scent of Mendesian with a quality olive oil based glycerin soap.

This scent came originally from the ancient town of Mendes, known as Djedwt, in the Late Period the Capitol of Ancient Egypt. Mendesian perfume was so popular for thousands of years, that it became known simply as ‘The Egyptian’ by Roman times. It’s popularity came from its colorless appearance, and its long shelf life, up to ten years.

Banebdjedwt was the god of Mendes, who was consulted by the Divine Tribunal in the Contendings of Horus and Set. Ptah, the creator god of Memphis, took the form of Banebdjedwt in his form of virility in the conception of Rameses II. It can be worn for creativity, virility, and a favorable court verdict.

Mendesian is made with a traditional oil, Sweet Almond. The scent is myrrh with cinnamon at the top. Not a simple essential oil blend, this was painstakingly produced using ancient scented oil production methods, in the days before oil production by distilation.

Mendesian soap is molded with the Eye of Horus. This powerful symbol was the primary amulet of protection for the ancient Egyptians, and is considered to be a symbol of purity and complete perfection.
